Hi Everyone.
A quick update from yesterday's appointment.
Michael had an echocardiogram done and the team determined that he'll need additional testing. They did say that there is some narrowing of his arteries, but nothing alarming. They will do an MRI within the next two weeks to determine how soon this will need to be corrected. Of course, the doctors would like to wait as long as possible and are hoping this can hold off until Michael's next surgery (in about a year). Either way, they will be closely monitoring the narrowing as well as the shifting of his lungs.
Michael was a trooper at the cardiologist visit, which lasted more than four hours. Donning his green rugby shirt, Michael celebrated his first Saint Patrick's Day, checking out all of the crazy revelers strolling through New York last night. He also got a belated "Happy Birthday" song to ring in his 10 month birthday.
Thanks for your thoughts, prayers, and support. We'll keep you posted.

Hi Meg, Thomas and Michael,
It has been awhile since I have spent time on the blog. Michael looks exactly like Thomas. He is getting so big.
I am glad Michael is being watched so closely. Hopefully the arteries are not to closed, requiring surgery.

We are going to watch the UConn game vs MO today. Go Huskies. We head to CT on Thurs.
I don't know if you guys watch ER, but last Thursday one of the story lines was about a camp for kids who have had open heart surgery. One girl, about 14, said she had Tetrology of Fallot. She turned to another girl about 10 or 11, and she said, " I have HLHS." The story line was that the little girl with HLHS had lived a very sheltered life, and then got to ring the bell at the top of the climbing wall, a victorious moment!Of course, made us think of Michael. Love, Carol & Tom
Thanks for sharing that bell ringer story,Carol and Tom! Hey, Mick, we had a great snow of Sat. The flakes were huge! Great big Angel Kisses! We are looking forward to the RED SOX season opener! Ok, Mick, Put on your Sox! love you all in Jesus, MaryAnn and Wayne
