Celebrate Good Times!

The weekend was filled with celebrating!

Thursday evening:

It started off with the arrival of Michael's Nannie, Grandad and Aisling. Nannie was the first person to hold the Mickster, he was mesmerized by his Nannie (he loved to see where he got his gorgeous red hair). Aisling came all the way from England for her first visit to the USA and was thrilled to meet her second cousin!

After Grandad and Thomas checked into the hotel it was Grandad's turn to hold our little Miracle. Once again, Mick could not take his eyes off of him. Mick also noticed the resemblance. I was able to capture a special moment with Michael's grandad and daddy all together for their first photo. The Iriwn's have a strong family gene, all looking alike.

In spirit of the Dad's being together we took Mick to Big Daddy's for dinner. Ashling was able to experience her First American Dinner.

Then Auntie Sarah arrived with gifts from everyone in England and Ireland. Christmas came early for Mick. His Nannie and Aunt Sarah were in England for a week visiting all our relatives. Michael is one lucky baby to have gotten such beautiful things from England and Ireland.

We had a wonderful evening celebrating Nannie and Grandad's anniversary and all being together for the first time. It was then time for everyone to get rested up for the Fourth of July! Although Mick must have been so excited because he stayed awake all night waiting for the fun to begin!

Friday the 4th:

Since Mick was awake for the night he caught up on his rest through the day. We all went to great brunch to start off our day! It was very filling and everyone felt energized for the day. Sarah took Ashling around Central Park for a tour and Nannie and Grandad went back to enjoy time with Mick. Michael was overjoyed with the attention his grandparents gave to him.

Then it was time to get ready for the big night out to celebrate the Fourth! We all went over to our friends' Lisa and Peter's party. Lisa and Peter were thrilled little Mick could make the party, as they had been waiting to meet him. Lisa's apartment has the most amazing view of the city and front row seats to the fireworks! Grandad said this was the best Fourth of July he has ever had and everyone agreed. What a wonderful way to spend the Fourth, with family, great friends, and amazing fireworks! Mick loved his first party. It is going to be hard to top that one!

Sorry but I must run to Mick. During his next nap I will fill you in on all the fun we had! Michael loved his time with Nannie, Grandad, Auntie Sarah and Aisling.

Still need help up loading pics from camera to computer, but these are pics from my cell.

Love to all :)

Mick, Thomas and Meg-- Thanks for such a great weekend! It definitely was the best 4th ever..
Little Michael is such a calm and cuddly baby. I got to babysit for 4 hours and never put him down.
He has the most alert eyes-- He just takes everyone and everything around in. And, thanks to Meg and everyone's gifts, he's the best dressed babe in new york too..
Can't wait to see you soon, Mick-- Keep up the great work! Love, Auntie Sarah
