Michael continues progressing. His stats have been relatively stable all day and so the medical team decided to extubate Michael. The tube, which has been in his windpipe since surgery so that he could be on the respirator, was removed. This was certainly very uncomfortable, but Super Mick is handling it well. He's currently receiving oxygen through a mask. As his lung function is monitored, the doctor's will determine whether to put him on a CPAP to help with respiration or to slowly wean him off of the oxygen.
This is a tough transition, but it's a good sign that he did not need to be re-intibated right away. Keep those prayers and good thoughts coming that Michael's lungs will clear quickly and function well.

Good news continues yeay! We just cam from church which we offered up for Michael. Covering all the bases. We think of you constantly. I had beautiful dreams last night of Michael laughing and singing and waving his arms. When I told Caroline she said she had the same dream (of course). I just know it will be a matter of time before we get to see that in person.
Love you all.
God Bless,
Jo, Tom, Nicholas, and Caroline
