Mick Comes Through Strong!

Dr. Quaegebeur, the top-notch cardiologist, just came in and reported that the surgery went well.

The narrowing of the aorta was caused by unexpected scar tissue growth. The benefit was that they were able to use this tissue to widen the aorta, as opposed to using a foreign material (which Mick historically doesn't respond well to).

Dr. Q said that the Glenn procedure went well and they were very happy with the results. He is also thrilled with Michael's heart function.

They will be bringing him up to the room shortly and will stabilize all of his levels and vitals. He will be extremely swollen from the surgery and watched closely for the next 24 hours, which are still critical. They expect for him to normalize within the next five to ten days.

We are just so proud of this little guy and his ability to defy odds, persevere with ease, and inspire hope and grateful living.

Once again, thank you for your continued prayers and good thoughts.
