Crossing his fingers that he'll get home soon!

Well, Michael and his mom had a blast together today, celebrating his 3 week birthday. Little Mick was awake and playing with Megan for much of the day. He was as alert as ever as they made faces, smiled, and joked around. Megan gushed, "We just had so much fun together."

Tom arrived this evening and has spent the entire time hanging out with Mick. They'll get some quality laughing and bonding time.

Michael is on the least amount of morphine possible and it shows. He is on the CPAC, easing the effort needed to breathe, but should be off as soon as possible.

What a great day and an amazing family.

Each morning Wayne and I awaken and continue to think and pray for you all. Michael is such a precious and gentle reminder of the endearing love of our Lord and we continue to deepen our knowledge through your baby's eyes. As Jesus said, Come as a child, yes, come. We simply come. Sending our love and gratitude for your fortitude. Have a beautiful day,mav and coach. I have to say, Go Celtics!

Wow, it's really amazing what has happened over the few days we've been unable to keep up with the Irwin family. Mick, Meg and Tom are such an inspiration for their courage, love and strength that seems to get through the toughest of days (and allow them to enjoy each other on the good days). We can't wait to meet Mick in person, but in the meantime all our best to everyone:)

Lots of love,
Amanda & Brett
