For Mick

Well, Meg and Thomas got some good news from the hospital.

They reported that Michael continued peeing throughout the night, which is an indicator of healthy kidneys. This also helped decrease his swelling. Everything is going in the right direction.

Doctors are going to start lowering the dosage of Michael's blood pressure medication today. Mick's oxygen levels look good and they are slowly and steadily decreasing the amount of oxygen being administered to him. These are big steps and a sign of his continuing progress.

We're so pleased with all of these indicators of improvement and herald Michael for his outstanding determination.

Meg and Tom wanted me to take this opportunity to congratulate Michael's Uncle Sean on graduating from the University of Massachusetts today. They, as are we all, are so proud of him and his ability to be there for them and Mick, while still managing to study for exams and finish term papers.

And as you can see, below, Michael has one proud uncle.

Great news!!! It just keeps getting better. Sean you look proud and happy.

Below is a quote from an HLHS surviver born in 1985.

"I’m not sure what kind of person I would have become if God was not a part of my life. If He hadn’t blessed me with all the love and support of all the people I am close to, I probably would not be here today. Each and every one of these cherished individuals has played a role that contributes to the formation of who I am; they all helped me have a positive outlook on my heart disease.

Just so you know each and everyone who prays, cares and loves baby Michael brings him something for his future. See the Hope for HLHS website for inspiration.

Love to all,
Jo, Tom, Nicholas & Caroline

we are in San Francisco thinking about all of you. We got to go to the RedSox Oakland game last night and Wakefield got lit up, but we still enjoyed seeing our sox. Sounds like Michael is doing so much better and we pray the progress continues. We are looking so forward to seeing him someday. Congrats to Sean. We loved his graduation cap. Love to All, Wayne and MaryAnn

Congratulations to Tom, Megan and of course Michael. This sounds like good news. Also congratulations to Sean on graduation, to those two aunts who have been right there for support, to the grandparents who raised such wonderful children. We are honored to be related to you.

Love and God bless,
Jim and Joan
