Megan and Tom just returned from a visit with Michael. They said he looks great and is resting well.
The team is continuing to monitor Mick closely. His vitals are being tracked and look good. We are encouraged by the nurse's breakfast break this morning. It is a drastic change from yesterday's around the clock team.
We still have a long day ahead of us, as they keep Michael under critical watch because of such exhaustive surgeries, but all the signs are hopeful. One of Michael's doctors remarked today that after the corrective surgery, "He is a new baby."
Father Don came by to bless Michael and will be performing a 12 noon Mass in Michael's name. We'll all be heading down to the chapel for this celebration.

I can't tell you how glad everyone this side of the Atlantic are! I've asked for so many indulgences and favours from God I'll be in debt for the rest of my life!!!!I've even tuned into Nannie & Gangie (Crane)last night to ask them for divine intervention - Michael has obviously more guardian angels than anyone one else - long may it be so. Keep up the fight. Love prayers and thoughts with you all -'Auntie'Barbara
Megan & Tommy and the entire Connolly and Irwin families, I can not tell you how happy I am to hear the uplifting news that "He is a new baby" since the surgery! And I love the picture of "Team Mick!" So nice to see you smiling! My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you! Stay strong and take care.
Love, Jess

I continue to pray to St. Michael, patron saint of soldiers . Little Michael is the bravest and best of warriors as he fights his continuing battle.
Thank you for writing so that we may keep close to Michael and his beautiful family. You are truly writing a love story.
With love and prayers,
Kathy Mulcahy
