This morning they took him off of the CPAC to measure his breathing and see if he can remain without it. Amazingly, his heart and lung function are so great that they've taken him off of it. What great news.
Meg and Thomas are visiting and Mick is sleeping peacefully, unbridled by any wires or tubes. This is the first time that Michael has not been hooked up to oxygen or other medications. When she walked into the nursery, Mick's mom teared up. It is so astonishing, the drastic improvement that Michael has made (there's a reason this is the first picture of him posted in a week) and we could not be more grateful. He's the best.
We wish everyone a happy Memorial Day and honor all those, especially Michael's relatives, who served their country in the pursuit of peace.
From this afternoon, Michael rests and blows a kiss to all:

The joy in Megan's voice today was priceless...Thank you all for the continued prayers and messages of hope for Megan, Tommy, and Michael. This has been a journey that has touched so many. We will always remember the love you have shared in asking God for this Miracle.

Is it Michael or Little Mick? I think Little Mick sounds like a fighter so be it that's what I think I'll call him because he never gave up the fight. I know there are many battles to follow but with his Mom's and Dad's support who could lose. I hope you save these comments because in 15 years when he becomes "Mom and Dad challenged" you will need to reread how precious we all thought he was.
