Some Brief Logistics on how to make "Comments"

UPDATE: We've made an adjustment so that anyone should be able to post a comment without a login name.

Just click on the "comments" section at the bottom of an entry and you're off. When you have to pick a log in name, check "Name/URL." Apparently, I had the power to make this happen the whole time. (Oops.)

Also, this is a FREE account and by signing up you should not receive any spam or junk mail.

So, here are some instructions on how to leave your mark (and to be fair, it is a little tricky):

If you have a gmail account, you can just use that. If not, feel free to set one up by visiting gmail at www.gmail.com. This may be the easiest route.

Otherwise, you can use an Open ID account, which include providers: AIM, LiveJournal, WordPress, and TypePad. If you have a user name with any of these operations, you can use this to sign in.

Once you've done this, you're ready to sound off:

1. Click on "comments" at the end of an entry (for example, it says "4 comments").
2. This will bring you to the "Post a Comment" page. At the right, there's a text box for you to "Leave Your Comment."
3. Type in your brilliance.
4. Type in the verification word.
5. Then type in your google username and password (with the "@gmail.com") or your user id for Open ID.
6. Welcome to Michael's blog!
