The team of cardiologists discovered that Michael's aorta is not as wide as it needs to be. They will be performing a surgery immediately to try to expand it. This should be a 2-3 hour surgery. We are grateful that this helps to explain his complications.

During the examination when the doctors discovered the complication, Thomas and Meg never left his side and held his hand the whole time. At the sound of his dad's voice, Little Mick opened his eyes for the first time since yesterday's surgery.

Michael remains as brave as always.

Your continued prayers and thoughts are appreciated, especially during Michael's surgery. Thank you and God Bless little Mick.

Just wanted to let you know that all your friends and colleagues at UBS are thinking of you and your family. Michael is in our thoughts and prayers. What a beautiful baby. He looks like a tough irish kid and no doubt he has the courage and strength to fight.

FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there were one set of footprints.
This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from
anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
"You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you,
you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"
The Lord replied,
"The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints in the sand,
is when I carried you."

Close your eyes precious, we will sing for you,

it's a lullaby we never knew,

in this world you know, some things must come and go,

but our world is all in loving you.

It's a simple song, and it's words are true,

and we'll do the best that we can do,

as we write this song, how can the words be wrong,

when they're all about us loving you?

You've got Mommy's eyes, and now we realize

God has blessed our world with loving you,

you've got Daddy's nose, so cute we suppose,

but it's still, what makes up you.

As you close your eyes, here's a prayer or two,

While you sleep we will all be here for you.

Things might come and go, but this you'll always know,

This lullaby is just for you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you Megan, Tommy and Michael.

Love Always~ Catie
