Michael woke up this morning with a fever. The doctor's immediately put him on antibiotics and his fever went down.
However, because the medical team is still worried about an infection under his skin, they are going to open up Michael's chest to try and determine the cause of infection and then attempt to get rid of it by cleaning the area and directly administering medicine to the source.
Mick has the best doctor's and medical staff working to take care of this problem and an outstanding record of fighting through obstacles. We couldn't be prouder of this little tiger.
This procedure is scheduled for 9 AM tomorrow morning. Please keep Michael in your thoughts and prayers.
We will update you throughout the morning.

Two, three, four times a day I find myself checking the blog. It is a way to connect, send our love and look at this little fella and his Mom and Dad who so touch our hearts. Know you are constantly in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear Megan and tom, This is just a bump in the road which will be taken care of. We are really good with infections and he'll be fine.Despite that, I know it must be scary, and we all have you in our thoughts and prayers. My entire family want daily progress reports, and I expect to tell them that Mick is fine tomorrow.June always brings blessings. Simon Lichtiger

I have sent a notice to a terrific group who will keep Michael in their prayers. This is the group that goes all the way to South Africa. Michael has showed such strength throughout his life thus far and he will do his best again. He has inherited your strength! I may not write everyday, but you are all in my thoughts and prayers always.
Love, hugs and kisses!

"Eye of the Tiger" came on in the car today while I was headed to work, turned it up and sang nice and loud for Mick. Thinking of him all the time, always knowing he has the most amazing parents watching over him...
along with half of America by now :o)
